Put on your coats and get out the house as a Lincolnshire beach has been named one of the best in the nation for winter walks.
Experts at GO Outdoors used weather data and Google reviews to rank England’s beaches.
The list saw Anderby Creek Beach — between Skegness and Mablethorpe — rated tenth.
The sandy destination has a Google review rating of 4.8 stars and was given an overall score of 8.69 out of ten in terms of treks.
It was also noted that the area has an average rainfall of 39mm, an average of 4.1 hours of sunlight and an average temperature of 5.5°C from November to February.
Calum Jones, author and outdoor enthusiast at GO Outdoors said: “Although the cold weather may cause people to stay inside, there is no better time to explore the UK than the winter months.
“As crowds disperse, visitors to beaches often find themselves with miles of coastline to themselves.”
He suggested that those planning to brave the chilly weather should wrap up, and wear base layers as well as a good waterproof jacket.
