Skegness man denies possessing knives and failing to stop for police

A man has denied two charges of possessing a blade in a public place.

Lee Calvert, of Rowland Way, Skegness, also pleaded not guilty to a further charge of failing to stop an Audi A3 he was driving for police when he appeared at Boston Magistrates’ Court on Monday (February 3).

However, the 32-year-old did admit to driving while disqualified and driving without third party insurance.

Calvert will return to court for trial on May 2 and was released on unconditional bail.

All the charges relate to July 21 last year.

The motoring offences are said to have taken place on the A52 Skegness road at Ingoldmells, while the two charges of lock knife possession are listed as taking place in Skegness.
