Skegness man died of heroin and cocaine overdose, inquest hears




A man died of a drug overdose, an inquest has found.

Deamon Findley, aged 51 and from Skegness, was found dead on July 26, 2023, in Skegness.

A post-mortem held on July 28, 2023, confirmed that Mr Findley had died of an overdose of heroin and cocaine.

The inquest heard Mr Findley’s body was found at the side of a road by a member of the public and police were called.

A statement read out during the inquest stated Mr Findley had been taking stronger drugs since his 20s, and rehabilitation attempts were made between 2020 and 2023.

However, Mr Findley was discharged from this service as he failed to show up for appointments.

Coroner Paul Cooper recorded a verdict of a drug overdose at the inquest held at Boston Coroners Court on Wednesday, January 3.
