Road closures and diversions to be in place while night works to improve Skegness’ pedestrian barriers on Lumley Road carried out




A road will be closed and diversions will be put in place while night-works to improve a seaside town’s pedestrian barriers are carried out.

Lincolnshire County Council has announced road works for Skegness’ Lumley Road from Monday, May 13 until Thursday, May 23.

To minimise disruption to businesses and town centre visitors, these will take place from 7pm until 6am.

The closure will start at Argos, continuing along Lumley Road towards the train station.

There will be diversions through A52 Wainfleet Road, Berry Way, Lincoln Road, Roman Bank, Scarborough Avenue, Grand Parade and vice versa.

Karen Cassar, assistant director for highways said: “We will do our best to try and get these works completed as soon as possible.
