Newark and Sherwood United lose 3-1 at home against Skegness Town in the United Counties League Premier Division North

Playoff contenders Skegness Town got a 3-1 victory over Newark and Sherwood United at Station Road Collingham in the United Counties League Premier Division North competition.

All four goals were put on the board by the half-time break and the result would stay the same until half-time.

181 people turned up to watch the clash which saw Kian Sketchley net the sole goal for The Highwaymen.

Declan Johnson got a brace for the visitors while Gary King scored the last goal for Skegness minutes from half-time.

Ross Woolley was awarded man of the match for the home side.

Newark and Sherwood United now face Pinchbeck in their next game on the road this Saturday, (kick-off 3pm).

Pinchbeck sits below The Highwaymen in the table and Jonathan D'Laryea's men have every chance of getting the three points.
