The Great British Skinny Dip is hosting an event in Sleaford to raise funds for The British Heart Foundation
Celebrating its 10th year, the Great British Skinny Dip offers new venues for this year’s event while raising funds for charity.
The event is raising funds for the British Heart Foundation and proving to the public that swimming without a costume isn’t just for naturists.
People will have the chance to go for a naked swim at the Better Gym in Sleaford.
The Sleaford naked swim will take place on May 10 and 28, and June 10 and 24 at the Better Gym, East Road from 4pm till 6pm.
The venue includes a small pool, gym, squash court, sauna and steam room.
The aim behind the Great British Skinny Dip is to encourage acceptance and participation in naturism across the country, promote a greater understanding of naturism and social nudity.
It also wants to promote the benefits of naturism, including body confidence and wellbeing while raising funds for a good cause.
Ben Bishop, British Heart Foundation fundraising manager, said: “There are lots of ways to support the BHF and, thanks to British naturism, these now include going for a skinny dip.
“We hope that thousands of people will take the plunge at one of the many events being held around the country.
“In doing so, they’ll be helping us fund scientists to discover the new treatments and cures that can save and improve lives.”
With plenty of naked swims taking place around the country, early in the season, over 500 skinny dips have already taken place.
People can find more events in the calendar on the British Naturism website.
