Former Grimsby Town, Lincoln City, Cambridge United and Mansfield player Nathan Arnold will take the reins as joint manager with Tom Ward at Sleaford Town
An experienced manager who has led several area football clubs has been announced as joint boss of a step-five team.
Nathan Arnold – who last managed step-four Cleethorpes before departing ways with the club in March - has now joined Sleaford Town.
He managed Cleethorpes for just under five months.
Arnold will share the reins at The Greens with the current manager, Tom Ward.
Before being in charge at Cleethorpes, Arnold was at Newark and Sherwood United which competes against his new team.
He has also managed at Newark Town and Bourne.
Arnold is perhaps most famous for his playing career where he competed for clubs including Grimsby Town, Lincoln City, Cambridge United, and Mansfield.
"We are delighted to announce Nathan Arnold as joint manager alongside Tom," said a club spokesman.
"He has managed across steps four to six, bringing invaluable experience and knowledge to the group.
"I am truly delighted to join Sleaford Town as the joint manager," said Arnold.
"I am impressed by the progress the club has made and the ambition that is evident within the existing foundation.
"Together with Tom and the group, I believe we can achieve great things and make a lasting impact in the football community."
Current manager Tom Ward said he saw the signing of Arnold as manager as a real coup for the club.
Sleaford Town is currently tenth in the United Counties League Premier Division North.
Ward added that he believed that he believed having Arnold on board would help the club continue an upward trajectory.
