A17 closed between Newark and Sleaford after truck fire

A truck fire has forced a major road to close – causing traffic congestion this evening.

The A17 has been closed both ways between the Beckingham and Brant Broughton turn-offs.

The road was closed at about 5pm today (Thursday, January 11).

The incident is affecting traffic between Newark and Sleaford.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
