Pinchbeck’s £6.6 million roundabout widening project on A16 completed after nine months of works
A multi-million pound nine-month roundabout project has been completed, it has been confirmed.
In an email to LincsOnline, Lincolnshire County Council revealed that the works at Pinchbeck’s Greencell roundabout on the A16 is done.
Work began at the Greencell roundabout in July last year and was all-but completed yesterday (April 1), although LCC added ‘some minor off-network bits’ need to be finished.
“The main works finished yesterday,” the email added.
The roundabout had been subject to night time closures in recent weeks.
The project was carried out as part of a £20 million improvements scheme on the A16, widening the Greencell roundabout as well as the McDonald’s roundabout in Spalding and Marsh Lane roundabout in Boston.
The cash came from the Government’s Levelling Up fund.
The Greencell project was estimated to cost £6.6 million.
