Spalding and District Snooker & Billiard League big Bill a final hurrah after 36 years
A fond farewell was given to a much-loved president who has stepped down from his role after 36 years.
William (Bill) Parker is the longest serving president of the Spalding and District Snooker & Billiard League.
However, last Friday, Bill (91) was given a big send-off as he ended his reign in the role.
Family friend Mark Le Sage attended with Bill.
He said: “Bill was really pleased to see everyone and they were pleased to see him too.
“It was nice to see him have a good time while celebrating those 36 years as president.
“Everyone thanked him for his time and what he has done and it meant a lot.
“Now that he is 91, he has decided that it is time to step aside and for someone a bit younger to fill his very big boots.”
