A-LEVEL RESULTS DAY 2019: Boston College full results
It was another successful year for A-Level results at Boston College where almost a third of students achieved the highest grades of A*-B.
There was an 86 per cent progression rate into higher education as a number of students celebrated confirming places at their chosen university, while others looked forward to starting apprenticeships or progressing directly into employment.
Deanna Masterman, of Sutterton, secured a place at University of Bristol to study Psychology with her two As and a B in Psychology, Sociology and English Language respectively.
"At Boston College, you are given more responsibility for your own learning which has helped me in preparing for university and so I can’t wait to start, Deanna said."
Last year, the college was ranked second out of 62 schools and colleges in England for academic progress at Level 3 post-16) education.
Vicki Locke, the college's vice principal for curriculum and quality, said: "We are delighted with this year’s A-Level results which have again exceeded national averages.
"Our A-Level provision continues to grow and flourish, with these results being evidence of the very high quality of teaching and pastoral support our students receive.
"As a result, they are well-prepared to be successful in their chosen careers and in their everyday lives.
“We are incredibly proud of our students and the staff who have worked exceptionally hard to achieve these great results and we wish them the best of luck in their next steps towards an exciting career."
