A-level students return to Spalding Grammar School
Spalding Grammar School welcomed back students who had left in the summer for its inaugural A Level Certificate Afternoon.
The past students came to collect their examination certificates and to catch up with each other and the staff after their first term away.
Caroline Thorley, now studying International Business Management at York St John University, said: "It was good to see people who I hadn’t kept in contact with and everyone seemed to be really enjoying what they’re doing, whether that be university or an apprenticeship.
"It was also great to see old teachers and let them know how we are getting on.
"I would recommend that the school continues to run this afternoon every year since it was a nice start to my Christmas/New Year holidays as it can be weird seeing people you haven’t seen for the past three or four months.
Headmaster Steven Wilkinson said it was a pleasurable experience and an event the school will look to perpetuate into the future.
Writing in the school's newsletter, Mr Wilkinson said: "We held our inaugural A-Level Certificate Afternoon where we welcomed back a number of students who left the school in the summer.
"The students came to collect their examination certificates but also, primarily, they came to catch up with each other and the staff after their first term away.
"It was an entirely pleasurable experience and an event which we will look to perpetuate into the future."
