Doors of five Spalding pubs remain closed this evening




A number of town pubs have not opened up this evening.

The doors of around five pubs in Spalding remained closed when the Lincolnshire Free Press and Spalding Guardian toured the town at 7.30pm.

The Red Lion, The Pied Calf, The Priors Oven, The Lincoln Arms and The Moorings were not open.

However, Oscar’s, Imaginarium Bar,The Ivy Wall, The Punchbowl and the South Holland Centre along with restaurants were serving customers.

A notice had been placed in the Pied Calf window to state that the pub will reopen tomorrow and later than normal on Monday due to “essential works” being carried out on the pub’s systems.

It’s neighbour, The Prior’s Oven, is also due to reopen tomorrow.
