A17 closed around Heckington following crash

Police are closing a section of the A17 following a crash.

Lincolnshire Police have stated that the A17 around Heckington will be closed for sometime following a collision, which took place earlier today (Saturday, August 10).

Officers have advised motorists to find an alternative route.

A force statement said: “The A17 will be closed in both directions for some time around the Heckington turn-off following a collision, reported to us at 9.41am today (10 August).

“Motorists should avoid the area and seek alternative routes, where possible. We will update when we have more information.
