Cannon Williamson in Spalding held its first Macmillan Coffee Morning




A firm of accountants was pleased with the numbers raised at its debut fundraising coffee morning.

Cannon Williamson in Spalding took part for the first time in the UK Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday, September 29.

The national event saw companies, libraries and friends getting together to raise essential funds for those living with cancer.

Tracey Denton, practice manager, said: “It went brilliantly – it really was good.

“We decorated the room and we were really pleased with how it went.”

Staff and guests from businesses who attended raised £220 with the total likely to be nearer £300 when the final count happens.

Mrs Denton said: “This is the first time we have done this and we really enjoyed it – so it will continue and be a constant.

“We do our bit for charity and some employees have been affected and benefited from Macmillan nurses.”
