Lincs & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance called to Spalding and Whaplode this weekend




The air ambulance was called out to the area twice this weekend.

It attended incidents at both Spalding and Whaplode.

The Lincs & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance landed in the Monkshouse Lane area of Spalding at around 6pm on Saturday evening.

“Our crew flew in the hours of darkness to respond to an incident in the Spalding area,” a spokesperson said.

“Our doctor and paramedic provided specialist interventions at the scene and one patient was taken to hospital by East Midlands Ambulance Service, assisted by our clinical team.”

The Air Ambulance returned to South Holland at approximately 8.20pm on Sunday evening.

A Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance spokesperson said: “Our crew and helicopter were in attendance in the Whaplode area responding to a medical incident.

“One patient was flown to hospital.”
