Residents at the Flatland Alpacas farm in Crowland puckered up for this special Valentines event

Visitors to a Valentine brunch were greeted with a special kiss by a furry farm resident.

An outdoor Valentine’s brunch was held at the Flatland Alpaca farm in Crowland for attendees to enjoy the fresh air, homemade food and the chance to meet and feed the animals.

George the alpaca puckered up and offered guests a special kiss with many of the other animals delighted with the hoard of carrot treats.

The brunch was served on site by Trinity Bakery, which is based in Crowland, and included waffles, pancakes and bacon, with a side of tea, coffee or hot chocolate.

Organiser Louise Holland said: “It was something different and interesting to do and we would definitely like to do something similar again in the future.

“Trinity Bakery was cooking everything fresh in the barn and everyone who came told me they had a nice time. It’s always nice to work closely with another local business and the artisan products make it more personal.

“We had quite a few people who visited from different areas such as the other side of Peterborough, Spalding and Whittlesey.

“Some of the people I spoke to also said they were heading to Crowland Abbey afterwards, so it was nice to hear they were making a day of it.

“I also had to stop the amount of people booking on the website as it was very popular. I wanted there to be enough seating for everyone otherwise we all wouldn’t have all fit.”

The Flatland Alpaca farm will also be hosting an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 30 and Sunday, March 31.
