Sutterton's New View Windows supports Poppy Appeal with mural and Humber Pig truck
A Sutterton business has been paying tribute to the nation’s war heroes - while fundraising for the Poppy Appeal.
A fetching mural of a soldier overlooking a poppy field - also featuring a passing train - has been created at New View Windows’ Station House premises.
Meanwhile, a Humber Pig armoured truck, adorned with flags, is also situated outside to raise awareness of the Royal British Legion’s appeal.
Director Wayne Pridmore decided to highlight the sacrifices made by the country’s Armed Forces, while also giving a little something back.
“In November we’ll donate £50 to the Royal British Legion for every conservatory we sell,” said Sally Clay, of New View Windows.
“We’ve always sold poppies here and raised some money since we’ve been here.
“But this year we’ve decided to help raise some more money.”
And the displays are certainly turning heads.
Sally added: “We’ve had a few people come to look at the tank and a few phone calls about it.
“People like to see it.”
