South Holland youngsters enjoy trip to fun fair in Spalding
Youngsters from across South Holland enjoyed a trip to the fair thanks to the Spalding Lions Club.
The Roger Tuby and Son Fun Fair welcomed children with special additional needs and disabilities to have an entertaining day out for free yesterday (Thursday).
After Covid put a stop to the annual tradition, school pupils from Gosberton House Academy and The Chapel Centre in Spalding enjoyed its return.
Stuart East who is the President of the Spalding Lions Club said: “It is the second year we have brought it back since Covid and it is just brilliant.
“I mean, just look at all of their faces – they were all so excited when they arrived here and now they’re just having so much fun.”
Some of the rides on offer for the youngsters included Disco Fever, Tubys Spinning Cups Of Fun, The Waltzers, Runaway Train, Bumper Cars and many more.
Owner of the Fun Fair Roger Tuby Junior said: “ We have been working with Spalding Lions for 35 years to put this on for the children – we do this because it gives them an opportunity to enjoy themselves and have some fun in a safe controlled way.
“We adapt by slowing the rides down for them, only having some music playing and keeping it quite low key so it is a comfortable environment for them.
“They are mesmerised by the interactive things to do and the whole atmosphere so its just great.”
The fair opened up to the public on Thursday, October 15 and will be in Victoria Park until Monday, October 22.
