The Green Bowl is set to open on New Road, Spalding
A passionate Spalding entrepreneur is set to take over an empty town shop and aims to bring a healthier twist to the area.
The Green Bowl will be located along New Road, Spalding and will be opening its doors on Thursday, May 11.
Business owner Trudy Edgington said: “ I have always wanted to have my own place and wanted to introduce some vegan, vegetarian and gluten free food into the area.”
She added: “I have a lot of friends who are vegan – which inspired me to create the business for them.”
The healthy takeaway food shop will include homemade vegan and meat sausage rolls, salad bowls, poke bowls, ‘naughty doughnuts’, specials of the day, wraps, ciabattas and more.
It will offer an order and collect option for customers, where visitors can pre order and collect from the shop at their own convenience.
After having previous experience within the food industry, Trudy noticed a gap in the market for healthier food options.
When asked how she felt about the opening, Trudy said: “I am excited and nervous about the opening on Thursday – hopefully with the Flower Parade coming up it will be good for us.”
She added: “ Rather than another empty shop – its nice to have different food places.”
The Green Bowl will be open from 8am to 4pm.
