Long Sutton Medivet puts out appeal to find owner of two tabby cats which were found dumped outside the practice
A veterinary nurse is desperately appealing for information after two cats were found dumped outside her practice this morning.
The tabby cats, one male and the other female, were found in a carrier which was hidden to the side of the driveway at Medivet in Long Sutton.
They were discovered by registered veterinary nurse Kirsty Nichols on arrival into work and she is now urging the owners to get in touch anonymously so the vets can find out some history about the animals.

She said: “I was the one who found them and they are really nervous.
“They are in very good condition and we can tell that they have been looked after.
“It would be nice to find out if they have been vaccinated or if the female has been neutered.”
The nurse thinks the cats would have been left before 8.30am and the CCTV which overlooks the car park has been checked.
Ms Nichols added: “It is sad but we are thankful they’ve dropped them off at a vets and not just turfed them out.
“We don’t know the circumstances why.”
The vet legally has to keep the cats for seven days unless an owner comes forward and a cat rescue centre has offered to house them for a week.
Then the process of rehousing the duo will start.
A statement on the Medivet Facebook site states: “If you are the owner of these cats please contact on 01406 365 683 to discuss help for these cats and rehoming options or at least a history for these two to pass on.
“This can be done anonymously if you prefer but please give us some details about these cats.”
