New appointment as broadband works starts in Bourne, Holbeach, Long Sutton, Market Deeping and Spalding




Internet provider Lightspeed Broadband has appointed Jeremy Steventon-Barnes as its chief technology officer as it continues to build its team to roll out its Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network in south Lincolnshire.

With 30 years’ experience in the telecoms sector, Jeremy joins a highly experienced team.

Backed by an international investment consortium, Lightspeed Broadband has brought together a team of 20 highly experienced professionals from the telecoms sector and will be welcoming more to the team in the coming months.

Aiming to bring a fibre optic connection directly to 100,000 homes and businesses across the East of England by 2022, Lightspeed has already deployed over 100 engineers to start building the network.

Jeremy has been building FTTP networks for nearly 20 years, and said: “We are moving at light speed and mobilising operations in south Lincolnshire.

“I’m looking forward to helping bring the latest full fibre technology to homes and businesses.”

Lightspeed Broadband has started the roll out of its multi-gigabit FTTP network across South Lincolnshire, and work has started in Bourne, Holbeach, Long Sutton, Market Deeping and Spalding.
