Long Sutton Primary School pupils embrace a host of activities during art week

Primary school pupils embraced their artistic side in a week packed full of creative exploits.

All children at Long Sutton Primary School – from nursery through to year six – took part in a host of workshops and activities exploring different art activities.

Sessions held last week included graffiti, craft, ceramics, photography, singing, samba, drama, crochet and more.

On the Friday, the children had a non-uniform day wearing ‘bright and bold’ clothes to match the theme of the week – and pupils were able to work on a collaborative ceramic showpiece item that will go on dispay in the front entrance of the Dick Turpin Way site.

Keiran Whiting, art teacher, said the children ‘showed real passion and ambition’ throughout the week and added: “I am so proud of the children this week, they were all little artists and continued being stars.”
