The notice board is currently not working and has come under the spotlight as it is costing the council £700 a year in rates.
New chairman Coun Rick Stevens said the notice board has been damaged internally.
Speaking at Monday’s meeting Coun Stevens said: “It has become a bit unstable where it is. It has got a wiggle.”
He also added that the council cannot turn the electricity off to the notice board to the location of its power connections.
The digital notice board cost £7,245 and was purchased using Welcome Back funding.
Coun Sophie Hutchinson questioned if the authority could remove the notice board as it had been purchased by the district council.
Coun Tim Wiltshire said: “We ask them to pick it up or we start charging them rent.”
