Award-winning Bourne travel agent to open branch in Holbeach

An award-winning independent travel agent is preparing to open in the area.

Inspire Travel by Shaun will be ready for bookings in Holbeach this summer following the success of its Bourne branch.

“Last year I won Best New Travel Agent in the country - that’s sort of transformed my company and the shop’s done well in Bourne so it’s time to open a second shop,” explained proprietor Shaun Taylor, who believes that in a world of online holiday deals many people still prefer the personal touch.

“I think more so, especially since Covid. A lot of people booked holidays online and had trouble getting their money back and people weren’t sure what the rules about travel were and people began to appreciate the added advantage of booking through a travel agency that offers a very personal service.

“We do everything for customers, things they need like phoning the hotel up and making sure they get the room they want, checking them in online if they need to.

“Some customers don’t use the internet a lot and like the face to face service.”

The Bourne store opened in June 2021 and last year scooped its prestigious title at the Travel Trade Gazette’s annual awards.

Shaun, who has worked as an accountant for Thomas Cook and as a senior commercial manager with Tui employs two members of staff and is recruiting for his new shop, which expects to open around the end of May.
