Spalding factory will be put up for sale
A South Holland factory site will be put on the market when operations are transferred later this year.
Spalding Bakery, the former George Adams factory, will be closing in September after more than 40 years.
Owners, Addo Food Group announced in December that the factory will be closing following a comprehensive business review and operations will be transferred to other sites.

A statement from the company says: "Addo Food Group has confirmed that once production is successfully transferred to its sites in Poole and Palethorpes, the Spalding site will be offered for sale."
Leaders in the district are hoping that the site will remain as a factory.
Deputy leader of South Holland District Council, Nick Worth said: "If we can encourage people to take it up as a factory then that would be our ideal solution.
"I think we would be open to any ideas on the site if that is not an option.
"I think business at the moment seems to be doing ok generally so I am hopeful that someone will be interested in taking this on as a site but we won't know until it is put on the market."
Last summer, Addo opened talks with staff to shut the Spalding Bakery.
Operations from Spalding, which currently has 360 employees, will be moving to sites in Poole and Palthorpe.
In December, Chief Executive Deborah Bolton said: “Following a collective consultation process, we can confirm that regrettably the decision has now been taken to close Spalding Bakery with full site closure in September 2020.
"After a comprehensive business review, we have identified changes we need to make, and we have taken the decision to optimise our manufacturing sites in order to meet changing customer demands, maintain our market leading position and meet our customers' expectations in an increasingly competitive market.
"This will not only streamline our operations but also allow us to be more agile in responding to evolving consumer tastes.
“We have informed our colleagues of the outcome and we will continue to provide those affected with the necessary support over the coming months. We will also continue to deliver a package of practical support and advice to help those affected to find alternative employment.”
The firm told the Lincolnshire Free Press that a number of employees have been offered alternative positions within the company.
