Holbeach St Marks Bakkavor workers raised £2,500 in charity skydive for the Little Miracles site in South Holland




Ten brave fundraisers from a food manufacturing company in Holbeach St Marks, have been taken to new heights in order to help raise money for charity.

The team at the pizza and bread Bakkavor site decided to take to the skies and raise money for Little Miracles, who offer support to families that have children with additional needs, disabilities and life limiting conditions.

Ahead of the charity sky dive, daredevils from the site’s finance team, Mandy, George, Jack, Georgia, Alison, Lynn, Emma, Michael, Tomasz and Marcin managed to raise £1,300 for the fundraiser and all together have donated £2,500 for Little Miracles.

Alison Savage who is the Senior HR Business Partner at Bakkavor Pizza in Holbeach said: “ We are delighted to see the important contributions our Holbeach team has made to support Little Miracles, a charity which is close to the hearts of many of our colleagues.

“This skydiving fundraiser showcases how dedicated our staff are to supporting the local community and as a major employer in Holbeach, we are proud of how our colleagues’ hard work has made such a positive impact in the local area.”

The exhilarating challenge took place on Sunday, September 17, where the team jumped out of an aircraft which was 13,000 feet above the Sibson Airfield in Peterborough.

Bakkavor pizza and bread site adopted Little Miracles as their ‘charity of the year’ and have since donated pizza, fruit, cakes and six large bags of cuddly toys. The team also supported the charity renovation in Holbeach by purchasing and donating over 100 carpet floor tiles and 50 ceiling tiles.
