South Holland band The Tenters have released their first singlr Alexander and had their second song played on BBC Radio Lincolnshire

A South Holland band have kick-started their music career with the release of their first single.

The Tenters, made up of lead singer Will Munton and band-mates Rob Lester, Kane Brownlie and Will Olley, unleashed their debut song ‘Alexander’ last Friday.

They followed that up with an exclusive playing of their second single ‘Good Will’ – which will be released on August 6 – on BBC Radio Lincolnshire.

Vocalist Will, who jokingly insists the name of their second song has nothing to do with two of their members’ names, says the band are excited to have finally released some material.

He said: “It’s nice to have the first single out. With that being our debut, we’ve been waiting a long time for it to come out and for people to hear it. So that’s great.

“We were really proud to hear the song on the radio, and the feedback we’ve had from everyone about both Alexander and Good Will has been incredible and we’re genuinely blown away.

“Now we just can’t wait to play our songs live and in front of an audience rather than just each other in the practice room!”

With the first few hurdles cleared, Holbeach resident Will and the band are planning for the future.

“Our idea at the minute is to get these two out, and then we’ve got a few that we’re probably going to release as a three-track EP next,” he said.

“We’ll probably head towards an album after that, after we’ve got some gigs behind us and built a bit of a following.

“Like any band, that pyramid stage at Glastonbury is an enchanting place, so getting to that would be lovely!”

The Tenters will be playing at Holbeach Music and Beer Festival in August, and can’t wait to entertain a local crowd.

“We’re all really excited for that,” Will said.

“We’ve had a couple of gigs cancelled, so this will be the first one back. We’re playing at two o’clock on the Saturday, so that should be prime time.

“Hopefully the sun is shining, hopefully people are enjoying themselves and we can provide some sort of soundtrack to that.”

The festival will take place over the weekend of August 6, 7 and 8, with camping, music, food and drinks on offer.
