Long Sutton barber moves into larger premises

A Long Sutton barber has relocated to new premises in the town and hopes to welcome more customers to his new, bigger shop.

Alex Howes has worked at Al’s Barber Shop, in Market Street, for 13 years but unveiled his new shop just down the road at 6 Hoddins Way, last weekend, where he celebrated with customers, family and friends.

Alex said it just felt the right time for a change of venue and added: “We had a great opening day - we had some food and drinks with everyone and just wanted the opportunity to show people around and let them know what we do.

“We’ve moved to a bigger location, so we will be offering a few more services and we’ll also be open an extra hour on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

“There’s more private parking here too, which is a real bonus, as that has been a bit of an issue at the previous shop over the years.”

Clients can book appointments on Wednesday and Thursday, while walk-ins are available on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.

“I’m really pleased with how things are going,” added Alex. “I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years.

“We hope to keep seeing all customers past and present at the new shop and would also like to welcome new customers too.

“Everyone is welcome here. We’ve tried to convey a welcoming atmosphere with the décor and the seating. We just want it to be a place where people feel comfortable and relaxed.”
