Spalding teenager is raising £3,200 for trip of lifetime
A teenager who is hoping to make a difference to a community in India needs to raise more than £3,200 to get there.
Spalding Academy pupil Rebecca Bembridge, known as Beckie and her mum Jo Elding have been busy fundraising to make sure that the 13-year-old will be part of this once in a lifetime trip.
The school is taking part in a World Challenge Trip to Rajasthan in 2021 when they will be working in a community on an important project along with learning more about the culture as they travel in the country.

Rebecca has already kick started her fundraising campaign, which has been supported by a number of local businesses, and is planning more events in the new year.
Her proud mum Jo said: "Beckie loves a challenge and throws 150 per cent at everything.
"She does lack confidence so something like this is going to help her push herself.
"We have been really pleased with the response so far to the fundraising campaign."
Beckie and Jo raised £95 by taking part in a table top sale at Monkshouse Primary School.
She also made £55 at Baytree Garden Centre with cones and glitter tattos during December.
Beckie also made cakes to sell to her teachers at Spalding Academy on Fridays during the last term, which generated £48.
Jo said: "Pete Williams at the Punchbowl is having a final send-off on February 16 and in the afternoon he said he would do a jamming session for Beckie.
"Her older brother is in a band, D B James, which won the Battle of the Bands in Lincoln and they are hoped to take part in the jamming session."
Spalding Services Club is also supporting Beckie's bid by agreeing to host a 60s, 70s and 80s night in November next year.
Jo said: "We would also like to thank Sign Design, in Bourne Road, who have created a large banner along with posters and leaflets for us. They have been amazing.
"We’ve received an email from Bakkavor today saying that they are going to donate £100.
The World Challenge trips aim to provide students with a series of mental and physical challenges.
Youngsters will also work together as a team and becoming more environmentally aware by exploring diverse landscapes. To support Beckie's challenge go to: www.myworldchallenge.com/make-a-contribution.asp?femid=981606&ch=m4I958
