Event aims to raise funds for Long Sutton Scout and Guide hall




A fayre is being held to raise much-needed funds for Long Sutton Scout and Guide hall.

Following new lighting being fitted, the Park Road venue is in need of further modernisation, as well as support for its annual running costs.

The summer fayre is being held at the hall on Saturday, July 12, from 11am to 3pm. Among the attractions will be a raffle, tombola, bouncy castle, face painting and barbecue.

Hall fundraising secretary Nikki Parker said: “We’re raising money for essential maintenance.

“The hall really is in need of a lot of updating such as new flooring and redecorating.”

Local businesses are being urged to consider donating raffle prizes.

As well as the Scout and Guide movements, the hall is used for class events such as yoga and Zumba.
