Fleet Country Show a big success and ten-mile pub crawl in South Holland raises charity funds in 2012

Fleet Country Show attracted huge crowds when it was held ten years ago.

A thunderstorm and dramatic downpour sent everybody scattering to the refreshment tents - but stalls were soon back open after it had dispersed.

Holbeach Town Band made sure the show went on, with a garden party in the afternoon proving particularly popular.

Meanwhile, a ten-mile pub crawl resulted in thirsty work back in 2012.

Louise Jones and Katie Dunmore led 22 walkers around Whaplode, Moulton, Weston and Spalding to raise funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Louise said: “It was a brilliant turnout and the landlords were fantastic to let us in their pubs in bright orange T-shirts.”
