Holbeach Music & Beer Festival will be bigger and better this summer

Preparations are well under way for the annual Holbeach Music & Beer Festival, which this year will have a ‘superhero’ theme.

Nine headline tribute bands have been announced and there will also be DJ sets, an increased capacity and four nights camping and glamping available.

There will also be the usual free Holbeach town shuttle buses, free child entry and free parking, plus, for the first time, trade stands.

The festival will be held over the weekend of Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 5,6 and 7.

This year there are tribute acts to Stereophonics, Pink, Oasis, Kasabian, The Jam, Arctic Monkeys, AC/DC, Mumford & Sons and ABBA.

Also on the bill are The Sugar Beats, Chased By Voices, Hold The Sky, Buried By My Heartache, Barnyard Junkies, Unfinished Business, Light Skies Darken and Redemption, plus after party by DJ’s Harry, Chris, Connor and Toyer.

There’s also lots of beers and ciders, food, ice cream, a fun fair, VIP marquee, kids’ zone and a sand pit.

For the first time this year, the campsite will open on the Thursday, at noon, and guests can stay until Monday, August 8 at noon. And this year there will be Thursday night entertainment for campers too.

Event organiser Sean Taylor said: “We have quickly established ourselves as a well organised, respected and, now, one of the most popular community family friendly events in Lincolnshire.

“The whole team understands that to continue to grow we need to invest in the event by securing the best bands, adding new ideas, listening to customers and showing progress year on year.

“So this year we’re introducing trade stands as a new attraction which will hopefully add a new dimension for visitors and help local businesses after a tough couple of years trading.

“The ultimate goal is trying to attract new guests to Holbeach while still keeping the public entry cost affordable for families, which is a real challenge but we are confident in our ideas and plans for August.

“We rely on business sponsorship endorsements to subsidise our costs and we’ve been very fortunate over the years with so many companies who want to work in partnership with ourselves and if any new businesses would like to join us please get in touch.”
