South Holland District Council warns residents that bin rounds may not be finished due to high volume of Christmas waste




Residents are reminded not to put out their bins on New Year's Day while refuse workers are dealing with the high volumes of waste following the festive season.

South Holland District Council has warned its staff may not finish their full rounds every day due to the amount of refuse and recycling.

In a social media post, the council states: "Due to the sheer volume of refuse and recycling following the festive period, we may not be able to finish our full rounds every day.

"If this is the case, please leave your bags out and they will be collected the following day. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause."

Residents who are due to have their bins collected on New Year's Day (Wednesday, January 1) are asked to leave out their waste on Wednesday, January 8.
