Vow to look into more services at Johnson Community Hospital
Health bosses say they are working with GPs to develop services for South Holland’s hospital.
South Holland and the Deepings MP John Hayes has called for greater use of the Johnson Community Hospital as a way to ease pressure on the wider health system.
Now Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board says that it is looking at ways to increase the use of the Spalding Road hospital.
A spokesman said: “The ICB will continue to work with GPs in the Spalding area and other providers to develop plans which could see a range of services be delivered from Johnson Hospital, particular ones that join up with the existing Urgent Treatment Centre also based at the hospital.”
The hospital is run by the Lincolnshire Community Healthcare Service which has also experienced pressure during this busy winter period.
The facility's GP surgery has been axed - with patients to be split across the Munro, Beechfield and Gosberton practices.
