Tyson Fury signed boxing glove helps to raise more than £2,000 at Ashwood Homes summer party in aid of Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance
A boxing glove signed by a heavyweight champion helped to raise funds for a charity at a company’s staff summer party.
Spalding-based developer Ashwood Homes raised £2,592 at their annual event in aid of Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance and was attended by 85 employees and family members.
The silent auction included a boxing glove signed by British professional boxer Tyson Fury which attracted significant interest from a fan of the fighter and sold individually for £2,000.
Ashley King, chairman of Ashwood Homes, said: “We are really pleased with the success of our summer party and incredibly grateful to local businesses and individuals for their generous donations of raffle prizes.
“The support from our staff and community was overwhelming and it’s heart-warming to know that our efforts will contribute to the vital life-saving services provided by the air ambulance.”
As well as games, activities, food and drink, the event, which was held at the firm’s head office in Goodison Road, featured a raffle with a variety of prizes donated by businesses.
