Sutton Bridge road works on track to finish next week
The people behind resurfacing works at Sutton Bridge say they are on course to finish next week.
Motorists have been enduring long queues of traffic as Lincolnshire County Council completes a £100,000 project to resurface Cross Keys Bridge.
Principal Engineer Richard Waters said: "We've made a good start on the eastbound carriageway and should have the existing surface removed later today.
"We will then need to prepare the steel deck plates for the new surfacing.
"We remain on course to have the road re-opened by October 25, but this will depend on the weather.

"We realise that the works mean longer travel times for motorists in the area. Unfortunately, disruption is inevitable with a project of this nature.

"We thank motorists for their on-going patience and encourage everyone to leave additional time for their journeys and to use alternative routes wherever possible."
