Burst water main means East Street, Crowland will be shut until Sunday, September 25
A burst water main has led to a town street being closed until the end of this week.
East Street in Crowland was hit by the burst main on Tuesday evening, which is owned by Anglian Water.
Some residents were left with no water before repairs were carried out - and the street is expected to remain off limits until Sunday.
Videos showed water flowing down the road, with frustrations being aired regarding the number of similar incidents occurring in Crowland in recent weeks.
An Anglian Water spokesperson said: "We’re sorry that some customers in Crowland were off water or experiencing low water pressures earlier this week.
"This was due to a burst water main on East Street on Tuesday evening. Our teams worked overnight to repair the pipe and all customers’ water supply is now back to normal.
"In order to keep our engineers and other road users safe while we work, we’ve needed to close East Street. We will now be reinstating and repairing the road, and we expect to reopen the road on Sunday.
"We’d like to thank our customers in Crowland for their patience while we carry out this emergency work."
