Black Cat Travel set to expand Spalding town centre bus service




A bus operator is increasing its daily service around Spalding.

Black Cat Travel has announced its new timetable - which comes into effect from January 3 - will start earlier and finish later.

A statement from the operator read: “We are pleased to announce that in conjunction with Lincolnshire County Council we are increasing the number of daily services around Spalding.

“We’re starting earlier and finishing later with buses to the Wardentree Lane industrial estate and Johnson Hospital from 6.15am.Our routes have changed slightly in the order of service, however all the stops we currently cover are still served.

“We’ve made these route changes to improve time keeping after monitoring our services since we started operating them in September.”

Black Travel has also announced its fares will remain at £2 per adult and £1 per child per single journey.

IT1 - which sets off from the bus station and incorporates The Parkway, Holland Park, Pennygate, Woolram Wygate, Avignon Road and Park Close - begins at 6.25am with the final departure at 6.10pm.

IT2 - Bus station, Magistrates Court, SHDC offices, Pinchbeck Road, Morrisons, Johnson Hospital, Springfields, St Paul’s Primary School, Acacia Avenue, Halmer Gate, Balmoral Avenue, SHDC offices, magistrates court - begins at Morrisons at 6.15pm, the final loop underway at 5.30pm.

Both loops operate from Monday to Saturday.
