Woolram Wygate in Spalding is set to close for more than three weeks

A busy town road is set to close for more than three weeks – with disruption to residents and motorists likely.

Woolram Wygate, in Spalding, will be shut between Friday, April 4, and Monday, April 21, – with Pinchbeck Road also set to have multi-way signals during this time.

The roadworks will be carried out by Cadent, who plan to replace old gas pipes with new plastic ones, so houses in the area will be ‘ready for greener gas in the future.’

Cadent has stated it will have to turn off residents’ gas supply and may need access to some houses.

Signs have already been placed in the area to warn motorists ahead of the closure.

Cadent have been contacted for a comment.
