Butterfly Hospice launches Smarties fundraiser and invites businesses to join in

Butterfly Hospice is offering sweet-toothed supporters in South Holland a chance to raise money for people needing end-of-life care.

The charity's shop in Sheep Market, Spalding, is offering customers and businesses a free tube of Smarties to enjoy and then fill with 20p coins.

Once the tube is full, they can be returned to the shop towards funding the charity's work.

Sue Watsham, of Butterfly Hospice, said: "The Smarties campaign was so successful in 2018 that we have decided to expand it this year by asking local organisations and businesses to join in.

"Butterfly Hospice will provide the Smarties for businesses and customers, but we would ask them to agree to promote the initiative in return.

"This is a fun campaign through which to raise money and everyone who returns a filled tube will receive a certificate of thanks.

"A full Smarties tube holds £12 so this is a really worthwhile campaign."
