Call for welders to help with Spalding Flower Parade

Spalding Flower Parade organiser Steve Timewell is calling for welders to get in touch with him to help work on old floats to be used on the big day.

There are currently ten floats from parades gone-by being safely stored at R Chappell and Sons’ farm in Spalding.

However, there are three more which need to be collected, with all of the structures needing a bit of TLC.

Steve said: “We really need some welders to come and help.

“Some of the floats are falling apart - one is even in two parts - but once they’ve been welded we can wrap them and get them ready.”
