CallConnect on the road in South Holland
Bus users in seven villages across South Holland can learn more about Lincolnshire's CallConnect service next week.
The popular purple bus will be in Holbeach St Marks, Holbeach St Matthew, Gedney Drove End, Lutton and Holbeach Clough on Wednesday, July 4, to mark Catch the Bus Week.
It will also visiting Moulton Seas End and Quadring Eaudyke on the same day, as well as Fosdyke in the Boston Borough area.
A CallConnect team will be giving out timetables, delivering leaflets and answering questions about using the rural bus service.
Coun Richard Davies, executive member for highways and transport at Lincolnshire County Council, said: "Over 17 successful years, CallConnect has evolved into a major county bus network.
"Almost 30,000 people use the service each month and Catch the Bus Week provides an ideal opportunity to encourage even more people to get on board."
In total, one of Lincolnshire’s distinctive purple buses will be visiting 50 different stops next week to mark national Catch the Bus Week.
The aim is to make sure people living in some of the county’s most remote areas know all about CallConnect and how it can help meet their transport needs.
