Dashing young Dasher needs a home

Here is the weekly Man's Best Friend column by staff at Jerry Green Dog Rescue in Algarkirk...

Hello everyone, a very soggy looking Dasher here, looking for a new home.

I am a young lad with a gentle nature. I love squeaky toys, and I am often found in my kennel playing with my favourite squeaky dinosaur.

I can be a bit worried when I first meet new people so I may need several visits at the centre in close succession; I’m easily persuaded with some nice cheese or chicken.

For this reason I would prefer my new home to have a low visitor load and any children need to be aged KS4 and above. However, don’t worry, once I decide to trust someone I love to boing about and show off my toys.

I am unable to live with any small fluffy creatures but I love interacting with other dogs while out on a walk – I’d really like some walking buddies.

However, I would need to be the only dog in the home. I would like my owners to be home most of the time, especially while I am settling.

If you think you could offer this dashing young lad a home please get in touch on 01205 260546 or email slincs@jerrygreendogs.org.uk

Let's hear your 'paw-esome' poetry

We are looking for entries for our new Paw Poetry page! You may have seen it in our latest Autumn/Winter Happy Tails newsletter.

We were inspired to create this page by members of the public who have shared with us their own poems about rescues, rehoming, and dogs in general!

If you would like us to consider one of your poems about rescue and rehoming, to be featured in our upcoming Spring/Summer newsletter, please email fundraising@jerrygreendogs.org.uk.

Any person of any age is welcome to submit their poems, however the closing date for our Spring/Summer edition is February 7, so get writing!
