Sutton Bridge family of boy with cancer offers reward for missing pet
A family has offered a reward to help find their missing cat before their son - who has been battling cancer - returns home.
Since the age of 10, Jack Naish, from Sutton Bridge, has been undergoing chemotherapy at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge after a routine eye appointment in 2023 revealed he had a brain tumour.
Brave Jack is due to be discharged and the family are desperately trying to find Teddy who has been missing for a few days,. to help make the youngster’s return home as normal as possible.
Jack’s legal guardian, Belinda McClements, has offered a reward on social media saying: “It would be nice to have Teddy home before Jack”.
She has also asked for help to look for the beloved pet.
Her Facebook post continues: “Has anyone seen our Teddy?
“He’s been disappearing for two to three days at a time, but coming home starving. Now been gone nearly a week. We are missing him so much.
“Please keep an eye out and check sheds/garages.”
Jolly Jack’s - a special annexe has been designed for when the youngster returns home and tradesmen offered their services for free to help build it.
A crowd funder has been set up to help with ongoing costs as the brave lad continues with chemotherapy.
Any information about Teddy - who may be near Wharf Street, Nene Meadows or New Road can be sent to Belinda McClements via Facebook.
