West Pinchbeck car park will improve road safety around junction
A potentially dangerous village road junction will be improved after planners have given the green light to a new car park.
Pinchbeck Parish Council and Pinchbeck Community Land Trust have been working together on a bid to improve the visibility along Six House Bank in West Pinchbeck following concerns were raised by villagers.
Parking around the Northgate and Starlode Drove area is reported to have created visibility problems for motorists.

South Holland District Council has now approved plans to create a car parking area for up to eight cars in Six House Bank.
Chairman of the Community Land Trust, Peter Sanders has welcomed news of the approval.
He said: "Approval of planning permission will enable the Community Land Trust to proceed with turning a small piece of land into a car park to reduce the amount of parking on Six House Bank.
"There was an accident there and it created a great deal of concern among residents which was expressed through the parish council. They have been pressing for the county council to reduce the speed limit."
Mr Sanders said the trust is hoping to drop 23m of kerb during the summer to create the new car park.
He also said there are plans to install a hard surface for the car park.
Within the application, the parish council asks for the parking area as a ‘road safety measure to remove parked vehicles from a potentially dangerous junction’.
A decision on the application was made by an officer at the district council.
The officer’s report states: “The provision of safe and adequate parking facilities for settlements is part of the principle intentions of the South East Lincolnshire Local Plan, and as such, is considered to be acceptable.”
