Spalding roundabout is no longer a car park!
A Spalding roundabout has now been cleared of the car which has been parked there for weeks.
The silver Vauxhall Astra had been on the A16/A151 roundabout, near Springfields, for a number of weeks after an collision on October 28.
South Holland District Council and Lincolnshire Police had arranged for the car to be removed from the roundabout.
A police spokesman said: "The vehicle concerned was left in situ following a collision on the roundabout. The driver informed police they were arranging recovery for it.
"The police do not ordinarily deal with abandoned vehicles but when it became apparent that members of the public were crossing the busy roundabout to place items on the car we arranged for the vehicle to be removed in the interests of safety."
The district council is now asking for members of the public to tag them into posts of grot spots on social media to help keep the area tidy.
