Casper the three-legged dog needs a new home - while Jerry Green Dog Rescue auction details are released
This week's Man's Best Friend column from Jerry Green Dog Rescue features an appeal for a new home for three-legged dog Casper.
Howdy! My name is Casper the three-legged dog and I happen to be looking for a new home.
No need to worry about me, I get around fine hopping from one place to the next- I have never known any different, it is just how I was born.
I would like to find a home with no other dogs, I can be very worried and tend to have a bark if they get too close.
For this reason I need access to quiet walks where I am not likely to bump into so many. I could potentially live with small animals kept in secure enclosures though!
I could be left for a couple of hours, if you needed to pop to the shop. Nothing longer than two hours, just while I am settling in!
I could also live with children aged 11 and above. I love to be around people, my favourite thing to do is fall asleep on laps!
Even though I only have three legs, I am still very agile, so if I can find a small spot on the sofa to sit in, count me there!

The auction catalogue will be uploaded at 5pm on Friday November 25th. Bids can be made until 5pm on Sunday November 27.
Finish or start your Christmas shopping from the comfort of your sofa, while supporting rescue dogs in need, what could be more festive?!
Winning bidders will be contacted on Monday November 28 to arrange collection from one of our Centres, or for the item to be delivered (please bear in mind that we are unable to pay for a courier service or postage, however, winners are welcome to make arrangements and cover costs and we will happily facilitate).
Some participating prize donors have requested that winners contact them directly (once we have received payment) to arrange delivery - such circumstances will be provided within the prize description.
Not only will the winning bidders receive their prize – each winner will be gifted a ‘Jerry Green Dog Rescue - Thank You Pack’ containing a certificate and a gift to show you our appreciation for your support!
Payment for prizes will be processed securely via our website. Each winner will be provided with a link to complete payment. Payment must be completed within 72 hours or the prize will be offered to the runner up.
