Diamond days at the Peele
The Peele Community College in Long Sutton celebrated its 60th anniversary with a whole school celebration assembly.
It was attend by all students, staff and governors and compere for the afternoon was assistant head Ian Corns, with performances of Sixties music by a number of students and staff.
The afternoon concluded with each student and staff member being presented with a commemorative badge and a piece of cake, the latter donated by catering company Taylor Shaw.
The celebration assembly was just one of many events being organised by the school to mark its Diamond Year.
Future events include the burying of a time capsule and planting of a commemorative tree at the School Fair on Saturday, July 7 and an open afternoon for all former pupils and staff.
