New Starbucks opens in Spalding's Sainsbury store

Coffee fans were eagerly queuing up to get a drink at the new Starbucks which opened earlier today.

South Holland District Council chairman Paul Redgate cut the ribbon outside the new store, which can be found in Sainsbury's in Holland Market, Spalding.

Starbucks has transformed the site of the supermarket's cafe and are hoping to attract commuters from nearby Spalding Railway Station.

The shop's Operational manager Mohit Kadyon and development manager Rahul Pawar said they have been looking for a new site since the closure of the Springfields branch last year.

Mr Kadyon said: "This is a permanent location next to the railway station and we are excited to be back."

A long line of shoppers were waiting outside the cafe ahead of the opening to pick up a free goodie bag along with a cup of coffee.
